The Midwest AIDS Training and
Education Center (MATEC) is headquartered at the University of
Illinois at Chicago Jane Adams School of Social Work. MATEC has
local performance sites in six states, of which Michigan is one.

Programs
MATEC–MI offers a
variety of programs and program formats. They include:

Didactic sessions (1 – 1.5 hours). |

workshops (2 – 4 hours). |

Conferences (3 hours - 1 day). |

In-service programs at work sites.
Experts present topics of specific interest to agency staff at
an arranged time. |

Clinical training for physicians,
physician assistants, nurse practitioners and nurses (3 days). |

Clinical consultation for
physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners who
prescribe or manage HIV therapy. |

Technical assistance to Ryan White
CARE Act-funded organizations. |
Continuing Education
Credits
Continuing
Medical Education (CME) credits are offered for some programs.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for nurses are available for most
programs, and for some programs, Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC)
credits are offered. Please see specific event information to find
out if credits are being offered.
