HOUR EXAM I

100 points

HOUR EXAM II

100 points

  Lowest hr exam score dropped
HOUR EXAM III

100 points

FINAL (70% new material, 30% cumulative)

200 points

200 final exam pts

  400 TOTAL COURSE POINTS

Final grades will be based on the highest two scores of Hour Exams I, II and III (lowest score dropped) plus the final exam score, for a total possible of 400 points*, with a curve using the class average to determine the C range. (*See below for Honors section.)

There will be no makeup exams during the term; if EXAM I, II or III is missed, that zero will be the low score dropped. There will be no exceptions to this policy. The Final exam is mandatory and is not one of the dropped scores.

Honors section: For the additional hour of credit, there will be two term papers at 50 points each (directions and due dates to be handed out separately), in addition to the above described exams, making a course total of 500 points.

DROP POLICY

According to University policy, the course cannot be dropped after 5:00 pm Wednesday Dec. 16, 1998.
